The Traditional Engagement of Uduak & Enefiok

Happy New Year all. I present to you the engagement ceremony of Uduak and Enefiok, a unique event that I had the pleasure of shooting in December. When people say less is more, there are elements of truth in that statement depending on your perspective of analysis. This was my first Eastern Nigerian traditional engagement ceremony, and its simplicity and sophistication are worthy of mention. It was void of all sorts of extortionary measures that you see in the Western trad. events from the so called “alagas”. Bottom line, I had a great time shooting this event and I look forward to the other aspects of the wedding ceremony coming up. May God bless your union.
