Hi and thank you for visiting my blog. My name is Deji, some call me Mr Smart and others DJ, any of the above works just fine. I am a man of many passions, one of which is photography. Starting from the days of manually wound film point and shoots all the way to the modern day hi-tech DSLRs, I must say, its been a long latent love affair which now cannot but become apparent. I am based in Maryland, I work with a wonderful casting director and make-up artist, who happens to be my lovely wife, and available to cover events or personal sessions all over the US and select countries. The New York Nuptial: Ayo & Kafilat Sunmola

Presenting, Ayo & Kafilat Sunmola. I was honored to have been the photojournalist of the day for this special couple, Working with them was a pleasant experience as they are a very cooperative pair. Not just were they fun to shoot, the bridal train also brought lots of fun to the mix. Now, when people say that New Yorkers can party, my response to that has always been “Can’t be more than Marylanders do’, however, I stand corrected. There was never a dull moment from the onset, all the way to the end. Another very important element that was copious in this relationship is their love for each other as well as friendship. I have no doubt in my mind that this is a match made in Heaven. Congratulations guys….This event couldn’t have been complete without the help of some very special people

E-session: Ify & Dozie

I was pleasantly suprised with the process and outcome of this shoot because Drs Dozie and Iffy are very conservative professionals, hence this gave me a cautious expectation going into the shoot. However, as the shoot progressed and the weather being cooperative, it turned out to be great. The couple enjoyed each other’s company so much that it pretty much turned out to be a date for them, and you know when a couple is this into each other, the rest is history. May their love grow in strength and intensity by the day.
This is my favorite shot, I love the jump.

Bola and Mike’s Love Story

When two people are truly in LOVE, their attitude towards each other tells it all, and working with such couple is always fun despite the challenges faced on location. Such was the case of Mike and Bola. It was a particularly hot and humid day, dehydration was an issue and so was fatigue. However, none of the adverse weather imposition could stop us from accomplishing our goal and their positive energy kept us all going despite all odds and at the end, it turned out to be an adventurous session and it was all worth it. I wish these love birds the best ahead and may their Love continue to overcome all obstacles that life presents.
