I had the privilege of shooting this session on their way out of town. It has a short, high energy shoot, there was never a dull moment. Despite the length of the shoot, it was not a challenge for this couple’s emotional connection to come rushing to the apparent like an active volcano spilling out its lava. I know true love when I see one, and this sure is a representation of such.

Yes the vast genome understanding of man has been a major breakthrough that cannot be denied, it still does not offer an absolute elucidation of what I call this Miraculous process. The seed is planted and it undergoes different stages of growth and development, sometimes even before the “Pod” is aware that she has a “Pea” on board. When the time comes, the harvest yields a bundle of joy and affection that a sea of words cannot express. These pictures were taken in April and June of 2011, and the Pea happens to be my 5 months old now and the Pod, of course my lovely wife of many years. Relive the excitement of the joy of pregnancy with me through the images below.

Some people have the illusion that love is all bliss and no conflict, well, I’m sure both views can be effectively debated, however, even in conflict, love still manages to express itself in diverse ways. Shooting engagement sessions often offer a glimpse into the emotional connection, friendship and romance of a couple. Shooting Bimbo and Yinka was quite effortless because seeing their love unfold before the lens was a fun filled experience. Their playfulness and the confidence they have in each other’s friendship was exemplary of true romance as the pictures would tell. Enjoy…..

Although the validity of such claim I am yet to scientifically or factually verify.  However, when you see them at parties, you just have to admit that there is substance to the claim. They are quite expressive in almost everything they do, sometimes when they dance, it could be in your best interest to move back  a safe distance, as you might get an unintended kick or slap! Even when they laugh, it could be easily mistaken for a thunder. Please don’t get me wrong, I find nothing wrong in all that have been stated above, its just an “expressive” way to say that there was a lot of joy in the air during the Onijala’s wedding, I guess th, is is my way of identifying with the same group I have just described above. Many thanks to my 2nd Shooter for the day, Abayomi Enjoy……

Now, when people say that New Yorkers can party, my response to that has always been “Can’t be more than Marylanders do’, however, I stand corrected. There was never a dull moment from the onset, all the way to the end. Another very important element that was copious in this relationship is their love for each other as well as friendship. However, as the shoot progressed and the weather being cooperative, it turned out to be great. The couple enjoyed each other’s company so much that it pretty much turned out to be a date for them, and you know when a couple is this into each other, the rest is history. May their love grow in strength and intensity by the day.
This is my favorite shot, I love the jump.

Such was the case of Mike and Bola. It was a particularly hot and humid day, dehydration was an issue and so was fatigue. However, none of the adverse weather imposition could stop us from accomplishing our goal and their positive energy kept us all going despite all odds and at the end, it turned out to be an adventurous session and it was all worth it. I wish these love birds the best ahead and may their Love continue to overcome all obstacles that life presents.

Given that Phillip lives in Ohio, the shoot was scheduled for a saturday when he’ll be in the DMV area, however the weather wasn’t too cooperative as the forecast revealed that it was going to rain all day that saturday and it indeed rained cat and dog. However even the rain could not stop us from accomplishing our mission since Phillip had to return to Ohio on Sunday. With all that being said, these two lovebirds really had fun on set. Enjoy….

I have to say that they are one happy, friendly couple. Lade was so enthusiatic about the whole shoot, she took to every suggestion I had for them. She even wanted to bring 6 outfits on location, however after the 3rd outfit of the day, she was exhausted and ready to retire. Naboth, I must mention served in the U.S. Armed forces for almost a decade, and for that I say kudos. Looking forward to the big day guys.
